VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT

Namsaling Community Development Center (NCDC) is a non-profit making and non-governmental organization established in 1987 (2044 B.S.) with its Head Office in Ilam. It is implementing Integrated Community Development Project, Phase-II (ICDP, Phase-II) funded by The Development Fund, Norway in Dang and Dolakha districts. For the same, NCDC invites application from eligible Nepali citizens who are committed, reliable and have ability to deliver results for the following position.

Position:  Admin and Finance Officer

Requirement: 1

Location: Project Office (Kathmandu) with frequent visit to program districts Dang & Dolakha; with timely visit to head office (Ilam)

Duration: 1 year (Probability of extension based on work performance)

Salary: As per organizational norms 

Job Role:

The Admin and Finance Officer will be responsible for both financial and administrative works of the project and organization (as required). The major financial duties and responsibilities include accounting, software operation, reporting and documentation, cash flow/fund management, compliance. And, administrative duties and responsibilities are to conduct works related to general administration, assets management, coordination, procurement function, inventory management, etc.

The Admin and Finance Officer need to work closely with the project sub-partners from Dang and Dolakha for synchronizing the financial reporting system to donor level reporting. He/ She needs to conduct frequent travel to project sub-partners, local partners, project supported cooperatives and groups for the capacity development training and follow-up on financial management.

Key Responsibilities :

  1. Lead account and administration in the project
  2. Assist prepare financial reports on timely basis, update of books and reporting of organizational level accounting system
  3. Operate daily project account like cash journal, finance reports, book keeping and ledger posting etc.
  4. 4Keep updated records of all financial transactions in the accounting software
  5. Facilitate and support both donor audit at project level & statutory audit at organization level  
  6. Timely update and disseminate the track record of budget versus activity in the project management team
  7. Upgrade and implement financial policies, procedures, directives, internal control mechanism in the organization 
  8. Facilitate the procurement process of the project as per the organizational financial policy
  9. Lead and implement the project administration function, documentation, database management etc. 

Qualifications and Skills :

  1. Master degree (MBS/MBA or equivalent) in accounting  with at least 3 years of  proven experience in professional accounting (preferrable in I/NGO sector)
  2. Sound knowledge and skill on handling accounting software and spreadsheet
  3. Ready to travel to program districts (Dang and Dolakha) frequently and support implementation of organizational financial management at head office
  4. Need facilitating and capacity building skills to project sub-partner NGOs, local partner CBO/CBNOs, cooperatives etc. on financial management
