Sustainability, and ownership of the projects and programs in Nepal is always an issue. Most of the projects collapse along with the termination of project period. The reasons behind this are the ineffective involvement of local level organizations, and their inadequate institutional capability for continuing the project. To overcome such situation NCDC, in every project, has been involving CBOs as partners, and has been supporting them for the building of their institutional capacity. Similarly, it has been supporting thirteen saving and credit groups of women to enable them for running smoothly on their own. Besides, with a view to enhancing local organization, it has been supporting through various activities such as trainings for human resource development, equipment distribution, awareness campaigns, and extending partnership through funding support for development work. NCDC has adopted strategy to work under partnership with local institutions to develop their skills, increase managerial capacity, and enable them to grab funding opportunities. As a result communities have been getting several opportunities for the development activities.
