People of Dhungeshangu, Taplejung had to live in dark without electricity even though they have full abundance of resources within that village. After the formation of separate energy plan was prepared with the support of NCDC. The people were ready for contribution to generate the micro-hydro electricity through available water resources so that Dhungesangu VDC was able to allocate total budget based on top priority. The external financial and technical support was necessary for the project implementation according to village plan. They got support from AEPC, NCDC, DDC, British Welfare and Madan Bhandari Memorial Trust. Now from the micro hydro electricity 100% household are benefited and the village is free from the dark.
